Do an Auto Scan and click Report .Read all the codes and see which module has codes related to soft top operation write them down and access service manual and instructions for testing limit switches or whatever related to the the given codes. If you can access internet at time of  scanning , you click on the separate module you want to go into and read codes and with codes displayed, if you see a tab that reads "search" ,it will search the internet for the trouble code for the make of car
